Vegetable oil as a fuel

The use of moringa oil for energy purposes is a valid alternative to the use of natural gas or diesel in the to power plants for cogeneration and trigeneration system. The vegetable oil, also called Vegoil, or PPO (pure plant oil) in their natural state, can be used as fuel for diesel engines. The environmental impacts of Vegoil undoubtedly has a positive impact on the environment. In summary is combusted an oil that is produced (by the vegetation of the plant) by direct extraction of carbon dioxide taken from the atmosphere, and then closes a loop that simply returns to the environment the carbon dioxide taken from the plant.

Gasification : Chip wood gas

Seeds pod can also be used as a fuel through Gasification, it is a process that converts organic or fossil fuel based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures (>700 °C), without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam. The resulting gas mixture is called syngas (from synthesis gas) or producer gas and is itself a fuel. The power derived from gasification and combustion of the resultant gas is considered to be a source of renewable energy if the gasified compounds were obtained from biomass.

Digester System

The dried seed pods are an organic biomass to be processed through anaerobic digestion system to produce biogas

Biogas can be produced from raw materials such as agricultural waste, manure, municipal waste, plant material, sewage, green waste or food waste.

Biogas is a renewable energy source and in many cases exerts a very small carbon footprint.

Biogas can be produced by anaerobic digestion with anaerobic organisms, which digest material inside a closed system, or fermentation of biodegradable materials.
